AIIMS Nagpur celebrated the 7th InternationalYoga Day on 21st June 2021 with the enthusiastic participation of medical students, nurses, paramedical staff, admin staff and faculty.
Amidst the COVID 19 pandemic, the event was very well organised on an online platform. The event was organised keeping in mind social distancing and other restrictions.
Maj Gen Dr. Vibha Dutta, SM, Director & CEO, AllMS, Nagpur delivered Welcome speech. Dr. HansajiYogendra, Director, Yoga Institute, Santacruz, Mumbaidelivered pre recorded talk on "Six Essentials Asanas For Full Body Workout". lt was very well received by the audience. On the occasion of International yoga day, an essay and video making competition on Yoga was organised. The topics were: "Evidence based yoga" for the faculty members and "My perception of yoga" for paramedical and admin staff.
The video competition on the theme of this year "Yoga at home and Yoga with Family" was organised. Multiple entries from doctors, nurses, staff and medical students were received.
Winners for same were announced.Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Mrunal Phatak, Offg. Dean (Academics) AIIMS Nagpur.
