The Department of Biochemistry AIIMS, Nagpur conducted a four-day certificate course on “Internal Audit and Quality Management System for Medical laboratories from 8^th May to 11^th May 2023. The course was conducted under the guidance of Honorable Executive Director of AIIMS, Nagpur Prof M. Hanumantha Rao and Medical Superintendent of AIIMS Nagpur Dr. Manish Shrigiriwar. Dr. Jyoti E. John, was the Organizing Chairperson, Dr. Niranjan Gopal was the Organizing Secretary and Dr Dnyanesh Amle was the co-organizing secretary for the event. Dr. Rajendra Surpam, Vice Dean, Government Medical College, Chandrapur and Dr. Yogesh Pawade, Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry, KEM Hospital, Mumbai were the guest faculty. The course was conducted in collaboration with “International School of Quality Management”. Mr. Prasad Kalavela and Dr. M. Sadik Ali were the course coordinators. The event was focused on refresher training of doctors, laboratory technicians and laboratory professionals regarding the new guidelines of National Accreditation Board of Laboratories as per new ISO 15189:2022 guidelines. The event was attended by around 45 laboratory professionals. At the end of the course certificates were awarded to all the participants at the hands of Hon. Executive Director, AIIMS, Nagpur at the Valedictory function held on 11^th May 2023. Dr Satyendra Tripathi, Dr. Apurva Bhoyar, Mrs. Jancy Jose, Mr. Roshan Takhelmayum, Dr. Nilaya Patil, Dr. Vibha Sakhare, were part of the organizing committee.
