CPR(Basic Life Support) Training to Airport Medical & Paramedical Staff by AIIMS Nagpur.

In alignment with international health regulations and aircraft public health rules, providing emergency medical care to passengers and staff at airports is a crucial responsibility of airport health organizations. Responding to a request from Chief Health Officer Dr. Aradhana Bhargava, AIIMS Nagpur organized a specialized life support training session for airport health staff.

Under the esteemed leadership of Prof. (Dr.) P.P. Joshi, Executive Director of AIIMS Nagpur, a team of expert doctors from the Intensive Care Unit successfully conducted the training on February 18, 2025. The workshop was meticulously designed and executed by Prof. (Dr.) Gajanan Chavan (HOD, Anaesthesiology), Prof. (Dr.) S. Kumbhalkar (HOD, Medicine), Dr. Udit Narang (In-Charge, Medical ICU), Dr. Sucheta Meshram (In-Charge, Surgical ICU), and Dr. Sumedh Jajoo (Assistant Professor, Medicine). The training session included comprehensive lectures and hands-on demonstrations, ensuring that participants acquired essential life-saving skills.

The enthusiastic participation of the delegates emphasised the significance of such training programs in strengthening emergency preparedness at public facilities. AIIMS Nagpur has once again set a benchmark by extending its expertise to support health emergency preparedness in public spaces.

The airport authorities, represented by Mr. Milind Paidarkar, expressed their gratitude to Prof. (Dr.) P.P. Joshi and the AIIMS Nagpur team for their invaluable contribution to enhancing the medical emergency response capabilities at the airport.
