AIIMS, Nagpur Conducts CME and Workshop on POINT OF CARE ULTRASONOGRAPHY
Under the dynamic leadership of Dr (Prof) Prashant P Joshi, Executive Director and CEO, AIIMS, Nagpur, the Dept of Anesthesiology and critical care AIIMS Nagpur conducted a two-day CME and Workshop on POINT OF CARE ULTRASONOGRAPHY on advanced diagnostic and therapeutic modules of POCUS. (POINT OF CARE ULTRASONOGRAPHY i.e. bedside ultrasonography for real time diagnosis and facilitating prompt and precise clinical management to improve patient care on 20th and 21st July 2024. The illustrious faculty speakers were Dr Sadik Mohhamad from AIIMS Delhi, Dr Bikash Ranjan Ray, from AIIMS Jodhpur, Dr Karan Singla from PGI Chandigarh who enlightened the participants on the current concepts and evolving trends of point of care Ultrasonography. Dr Avinash Dhok and Dr Sumedh Jajoo from AIIMS Nagpur enriched the session with their elaborative lectures .Dr Saurabh Barde ,Dr Ramesh Hasani and Dr Sarang Kshirsagar have imparted training in the intricacies of the dynamic subject of bedside ultrasonography in ICU.
The theme was based on basics and evolving concepts of POCUS and it’s clinical applications. More than 60 delegates from various part of the country have attended the event. Dr Gajanan Chauhan, Professor & HOD Anesthesiology was the organizing chairperson, Dr Sucheta Meshram, In charge surgical ICU was the Scientific Chairperson responsible for imparting and ensuring academic excellence in the workshop. Dr Deepak Modi, was the organizing secretary of the event. The event was inaugurated by Dr Prashant P Joshi, Executive Director and CEO, AIIMS, Nagpur. The core purpose of the event was to inculcate the spirit of precision and advancements in the new generation of the medical fraternity. Accomplishing the purpose of this endeavor, the delegates were enriched with the emerging knowledge and practical skills of bedside ultrasonography by giving hands-on training, which is imperative for quality care, in order to ensure improve clinical management and outcomes of the critically ill patients in the ICU.
