About College of Nursing

College of Nursing, AIIMS Nagpur began its academic journey in October 2021, with the small team of Principal and three faculty members. In March 2022, the College welcomed its first batch of forty BSc Honours Nursing students of admission year, 2021–22. The subsequent appointment of Nursing tutors in the following academic year boosted up the academic environment, strengthening the College’s capacity to deliver comprehensive education and training to its students. College of Nursing offers an extensive curriculum designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and clinical exposure necessary to build clinical judgment and professional nursing competencies.

Additionally, College of Nursing is committed to strengthening nursing services at the Institute and actively engages in induction as well as continuing nursing education and training of nursing officers. The faculty members have been assigned additional charges of nursing service administration and they contribute to the efficient operation of nursing services, ensuring smooth coordination and delivery of patient care. Moreover, the College of Nursing contributes to the healthcare mission of the Institute by activities to promote health literacy and disease prevention through organizing multiple awareness programmes throughout the year. Furthermore, through membership in various Institute committees, the College of Nursing team actively supports various administrative activities and overall functioning of the Institute.
