Neonatology Expansion Plan
- Providing comprehensive neonatal care services by establishing regional level 4 family centered Neonatal Intensive Care Unit fully dedicated to the principles of Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative by WHO and UNICEF to ensure intact new-born survival.
- To establish state of the art neonatal training and simulation center for neonatal care training and for simulation research.
- To establish a comprehensive lactation management center (milk bank of tertiary care level) to enable human milk banking.
- To establish a state of the art research lab for transformative research and innovations in neonatal care.
- To conduct training in advanced neonatal care and mentor the state level medical colleges, district hospitals and SNCUs.
- To plan academic courses in lactation counsellor training, neonatal nursing fellowship.
