The AIIMS Nagpur Nurses Association (ANNA) successfully organized a grand celebration of International Women’s Day along with a Fresher’s Welcome Program for newly joined Nursing Officers and Senior Nursing Officers at AIIMS Nagpur. The program was organized under the International Women’s Day theme “Give to Gain – 2026.” The Fresher’s Welcome was conducted with the theme “Aarohanam – Ascending Journey,” symbolizing growth, progress, and the inspiring journey of nurses in their professional path.
The program aimed to celebrate the invaluable contribution of women in healthcare and to warmly welcome the joined nursing officers and Senior Nursing Officers at AIIMS Nagpur into the nursing fraternity.
The program was graced by the esteemed presence of Honorable Dr. Prashant Joshi, Executive Director, AIIMS Nagpur, as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished dignitaries present included Respected Dr. Rajni Peter, Principal, College of Nursing, Respected Dr. Latika Bajaj, Nursing Superintendent, Senior Nursing Officer Mr. Gajanan Gite, President of ANNA, along with members of the ANNA Executive Committee.
During the program, speakers highlighted the dedication, resilience, and vital role of nurses in strengthening healthcare services and emphasized the importance of unity, professional growth, and compassion in nursing practice.
The event included cultural performances, interactive activities, and a special welcome ceremony for newly joined nursing officers and Senior Nursing Officers, creating a joyful and motivating atmosphere celebrating the strength and spirit of women in the nursing profession.
