Nagpur: Adding yet another academic accolade to its list, Indian Institute of Management, Nagpur (IIM-N) has signed first of its kind of MoU with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur, on Monday to establish fruitful means to exchange knowledge, information and research.
IIM-N Director Dr. Bhimaraya Metri said there was a growing recognition in academia that a true creative society is only possible by linking various social capitals together to attain prosperity.
This co-operation extends research and academic activities between these two organizations in fields of primary and secondary healthcare management, health economics and finance, human resource management in healthcare, community healthcare planning, information technology in healthcare and hospital administration. This MoU also aims to start an integrated course (short and long term) on healthcare management by utilizing the expertise and resource of both institutes.
AIIMS Dean Dr Mrunal Phatak said that this MoU would help both institutes in advancing knowledge for benefits of society. These institutes will work together on policy analysis, organizational restructuring and operational efficiencies in hospitals to ease out the plight of patients.

          The MoU was signed by Dr. Bhimaraya Metri Director, IIM-N & Dr. Mrunal Phatak, Dean (Academics), AIIMS-N on behalf of their respective institutes at IIM Nagpur Campus in the presence of Prof. Prashant Gupta, Dean, IIM-N, Lt.
