AIIMS Nagpur marked the 10th International Day of Yoga with an enriching and invigorating program, guided by Dr. Prashant Joshi, Director & CEO of AIIMS Nagpur. The event highlighted the profound benefits of yoga in daily life and underscored its importance for physical and mental well-being. The program was preceded by a yoga week starting from 15th June featuring daily sessions conducted to promote physical, mental and spiritual health and wellness.
Dr. Siddharth P. Dubhashi (Dean Student Welfare) and Mr. Vijay Kumar Nayak DDA, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the critical role yoga plays in maintaining a balanced lifestyle and enhancing holistic health.
The yoga session was conducted by Yoga expert Mr. Vinod Yaduvanshi, who led participants through a series of asanas and breathing exercises designed to promote relaxation and rejuvenation.
The event was successfully organized by a dedicated team comprising Dr Mrunal Phatak, Dr. Jyotsna Gumashta, Dr. Sachin B. Rathod, Dr. Hardy Daniel, and Dr. Arun Kumar with support of staff of AIIMS, Nagpur.
