AIIMS Nagpur Celebrated the 14th Indian Organ Donation Day with Felicitation Ceremony for Deceased Donor Relatives.
The Department of Nephrology at AIIMS Nagpur organized the 14th Indian Organ Donation Day celebration on August 9, 2024. This significant event was marked by a special felicitation ceremony to honor the relatives of deceased organ donors, whose selfless decisions have provided the gift of life to others in need.
The event was chaired by Dr. Prashant P. Joshi, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Nagpur, who emphasized the vital role of organ donation in saving lives and highlighted the institute's commitment to promoting organ donation awareness. Dr. Seema Parvekar, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Manish Shrigiriwar, Nodal Officer for Organ Donation and Transplantation and Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Dr. Rajni Peter, Principal of the College of Nursing AIIMS,Nagpur, joined him in recognizing the noble contributions of donor families, offering heartfelt thanks for their courageous decisions in the face of personal loss.
