The Department of ENT organized Cadaveric Temporal Bone Dissection Workshop on 3rd March 2024
In the effort of upgrading knowledge and surgical skills of post graduate students, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur organized a “Temporal bone Dissection Workshop.”
The Executive Director Dr. (Prof) P. P. Joshi inaugurated workshop on 3rd March 2024 on occasion of World Hearing Day 2024. This workshop was organized by Department of ENT & Anatomy, AIIMS Nagpur in association with AOI Vidarbha branch. He wished success to the workshop and stressed importance of patient care, teaching-learning and research in AIIMS Nagpur, an Institute of National Importance.
Postgraduate students and senior residents of various medical colleges of Maharashtra took active participation and completed hands on training on various otological surgeries like stapedotomy, cortical mastoidectomy, modified radical mastoidectomy, epitympanotomy, facial nerve decompression, Labyrinthectomy and endolymphatic sac decompression. Dr. Vinay Vijayendra, well known ENT Specialist from Bangalore was chief demonstrating faculty for this workshop.
Faculties of department of ENT and Anatomy including Dr Aditya Tarnekar, Dr Vijay Bidkar, Dr Sandeep Dabhekar and Dr Kirankumar Prathipati from AIIMS Nagpur contributed to this workshop,
President AOI Vidarbha, Dr Samir Choudhary, Secretary AOI Vidarbha, Dr Gaurav Agarwal graced this occasion.
The hands-on training under the guidance of eminent faculty was helpful for the participants to upgrade the knowledge coming from of various medical institutes of Maharashtra.
