Department of dentistry, AIIMS Nagpur celebrated “World Oral Health Day” on 20^th March 2024 in the AIIMS OPD. Prof. Dr. Ramaraj PN, Head of Dentistry, welcomed the guests. The Executive Director, Prof.  Dr. Prashant Joshi in his speech emphasized the importance of maintaining oral health to not only protect oneself but also to reduce economic burden. Medical Superintendent, Prof. Dr. Manish Shrigiriwar, Elaborated the various Do’s & Don’ts for maintain good oral hygiene. Deputy Director (Administrative) Mr. Vijay Kumar Nayak, Principal Nursing College Dr. Rajani Peter were present during the occasion along with Faculties, Students and general public. The students of nursing college presented a SKIT on oral health maintenance for the public. Dr. Uday Kiran Uppada, Associate Professor proposed the vote of thanks.

A School Oral health screening and education program was conducted on 21^st March, as part of outreach activity, at the South Point Public School, Manewada road, Omkar Nagar, Nagpur. Prof. Dr. Manish Shrigiriwar, Medical Superintendent of AIIMS Nagpur and Dr. Mrunalini Dasture, Principal of the school, were present. The AIIMS Dental Team consisted of Prof. Dr. Ramaraj PN, Associate Prof. Dr. Ganesh Jadhav and others. Two Hundred students were screened in the camp, oral health education imparted, Oral Health Kit were distributed.
